Porting the RD350 Drag Project.

First some pictures of the bike as it nears completion.

The most obvious new additions is the double caliper setup for the front wheel. Rz reed blocks, with RZ manifolds with a White Bros style single cylinder resonator.

The next changes to come are a lighter rear Mag wheel with a single disc brake for the rear. A single seat half seat for the rider. Rear sets to move the rear brake pedal and gear changer back. And a RZ style faring.

Get those bits out. First the Engine Casing.

Ok so we are going to be opening up the ports. The first mistake people make is to ignore the casing at least in India.

Make sure you don't make the same mistake. The Casing needs to line up with port openings on the barrels.

Make sure you have at least 4-5mm sealing surface or the gasket will not hold. The picture below shows a case where material has been removed in some places we have removed up to 4mm of material.
